What is E-Waste Management?
Disposing of electrical or electronic equipment is referred to as electronic waste or e-waste. Also considered e-waste are used electronics that are destined for refurbishment, reuse, resale, material recovery, or disposal. Human health and environmental pollution can occur as a consequence of informal e-waste disposal in developing countries.
Electronic waste is created when an electronic product is discarded after its useful life has ended. E-waste is generated rapidly due to the rapid expansion of technology and consumption-driven society.
Harmful effects of E-waste:
The environment and people living in it are harmed when waste is not properly disposed of. E-waste can also be harmful to the environment if it is not properly disposed of, and it can also affect the health of people living in it if it is not properly disposed of. E-waste has the following harmful effects:
E-waste causes air pollution – In the informal disposal of e-waste such as disassembling, shredding, or melting (to obtain metal, such as copper), fine dust particles or toxic gases can cause air pollution and are harmful to animals.
